PEIRCE SECONDARY SCHOOL presents Above All Things (A Combined Cultural Group Performance) Nanyang Junior College LT4 Saturday 24 May 2008 7:30pm Free Seating $12.00
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ As Alwin says, the repertoire will be available in the concert booklet. If there are any further queries, please feel free to leave a tag. :D Thank you for your support. :)
AND, with regards to the concert too, this is concerning the ticket money. Mrs Chung is starting to chase us for the money already, and we of course as good and responsible people shall not let the less-agile go around chasing us for money, shall we?
AND, this is regarding the Thailand trip. Remember to fill up your Opportunity Fund form, and pass it to Miss Wong latest by Wed 12pm. If not, you will be put as Category 'D' with $150 subsidy. Remember to attatch a copy of your parents' paycheck, or if they're self-employed, a letter indicating their salary and their signature will do.
AND, also regarding the Thailand trip, hand over your passports on Friday. Brasses to Baoyuan, Woodwinds to Qianhui. Overall in charge is Lynn. CHECK: Passports are not missing, expired or whatever.
Any questions, do ask.

Hello Band, the exams are going to be over soon and we'll be seeing each other again. Even more so with the upcoming combined cultural concert, and the next thing to expect would be the Thailand trip. I shall rip some stuff off from the committee email because it is good everyone can know what's going on yeah.
These are the events coming up; 1. Speech Day (11 April) 2. Combined Cultural Performance (24 May) 3. Thailand trip (27 May) 4. POP (end of June) *at FTP* 5. Band Competition (July) *Sec 1 to 3 only*
Combined Cultural Concert (24 May)
Juniors will be playing too, so seniors please teach your juniors the songs. Alumni will be playing, Peiyi will be in charge. Any alumni who wishes to come back and play in this concert has to inform Peiyi and the BMs.
QMs & SLs- Your jobs are to ensure that on all rehearsal and the actual day, instruments are in good condition, and you are to bring along your reeds, corkgrease, and all the essential items you may/may not need. Prepare for the worst anytime.
Welfare- Your job is to be in charge of the food and drinks. Make sure nobody gets hungry. It's hard to play and concentrate when you're hungry RIGHT.
Remember to pay your $24 for the tickets to Mrs Chung. Make sure that after you have paid, your name is marked down so there will be no misunderstandings whatsoever. Try to see her personally and avoid asking people to pass the money to her, to avoid confusion. To those who have paid up, GOODFORYOU. Those who haven't, erhem please do so soon.
Regarding the Thailand trip, more information will be given by the teachers on a later date. Below is an abstract from the committee email, it may sound like a travel advertisement but it's all true :)
"Now with the fantastic/amazing/unbelievable price cut from our generous principal, it costs $450 including meals + lodging + airticket. AND WE'RE FLYING SINGAPORE AIRLINES!
-We're flying Singapore Airlines. -We're exchanging with a Thai Band. You can never get in Singapore. -Bonding time with Sec.1s. -We may never get to go overseas together as a band in the future. -We're staying at a hotel with a couple of stars. -You'll be with friends. -There's more money to SPEND. -Ever flown in a plane with your friends? Hardly right. -It's Singapore Airlines! -They're giving us the last day to shop.
You get my point lah. And if many people don't go, how can we play as a band then? Remember this trip is an exchange. If your problems lie with your parents, refer them to Ms Wong or why not even bring them along to Thailand. It's like bringing your ATM card around."
Hi All, Rewards sometimes not merely in form of physical results. Enjoy your music and band life. Thats rewarding too. Rgds, Mr Lim
I believe that all of you can do it. Remember, we have come a loooooooong way since 2006 especially in size. All is worth it when we reap our rewards at 2009 SYF. Cheers Ms Wong.
I hope everything here is inspirational enough for all of us to move on. See you guys around in a couple of days :) -Estee.
