Please memorise O to the end by Monday.
Trumpets, trombones and euphos must be confident(!!) and play out as they are mostly melody. Remember that this piece is mostly brass!
Everyone must follow the drum beat. Find it with your EARS!
That means that the drums must not stop or lose beat nor accelerate nor slow down.
O
As said above for brasses, CONFIDENCE.
Q
Horn, euphonium and tenor sax melody at Q must play out.
Trombones and trumpets must play the 1st time bar of Q stronger.
Trombones, trumpets and saxophones must be together and play out a lot more at second time Q.
R
Clarinets be together. 1st clarinet must remember your notes ah!
S - starting of U
Flutes and marimba, on time from S to U. Euphonium MUST KNOW where to play exactly during the saxophone solo.
In case you have not yet listened to the recording, the euphos are actually linking the 2 phrases of the saxophone solo. Oh, and euphos also link the end of the solo to U. 2nd clarinet should know where to play exactly. It would be good if 2nd clar can play it more gently for the high notes.
Oh, and this part IS NOT A SLOW PART!
U
Confidence from all parts. Play out too. Woodwinds must get their running notes correct!
W
Trumpets and euphoniums play out your melody. It will be passed on to clarinets. After that to horns.
