• WHISTLE WHILE YOU WORK

1. tuba/eupho, when u come in at B makes ur notes shorter dun make it draggy.
2. separate the notes
3. all notes must be of equal strength
4. no matter how short the note is, air have to go through the whole instrument
5. get ur basics (rhythm, pitching, notes) right
6. golden pyramid (eupho not louder than tuba, trombone not louder than eupho and so on...)

• CHRISTMAS RECOLLECTION

1. KEY SIGNATURE!!
2. 1 bar before 33, must take note of the breath mark

*pls take note that this is not meant to be an exhaustive list. individually, should make some effort to note/remember what the conductors have said.

i want u guys to move faster and we are spilting for sectionals. time should not be wasted in moving for sectionals. HAVE A SENSE OF URGENCY!!!
and be sure of ur parts so that the conductors can do more things with us.

SLs, i wan you to write down the things to take note of (for ur section) and discuss with ur section after band and try to improve during sectionals.

i hope everyone would listen to the songs 10 times each, per day. (be like San Zhi, take initiative and responsible)
don't be the person who pulls down the section's/band's standard.
try to sing along ur parts, do fingering (and for brasses, try to buzz). KARAOKE

any problems, u can find ur SLs, student conductors, BMs or even ur alumni for help.
i believe you guys can do much better than wat u r doing now. put in more effort and time!!

• pls give $9 to ur SL/section rep for the camp t-shirt, after collecting from ALL ur members, SLs/section rep pass the money to jasmine.
• $2 band fund, SLs/section rep after collecting from ALL ur members, pass to xelena,
• alumni, pls return the band uniform (blazer and skirt/pants) by next mon.
• the next collection date of the tickets' money will be on next tuesday, 15 december 2009
